Internet Works.
Hi,we are two students of Madrid and here we are going to explain how internet works.
First all the computers have an IP and a MAC.
When you look for something on the browser by a URL, your IP is send to the server.Later the server sends your IP to your router and next to your company router,for example vodafone,movistar...After that your company send your IP to the search engine.The URL that you have search send the information that you need with a protocol that you have to accept (cookies).The search engine use the DNS to know that it is your IP.
CONCEPTS
- INTERNET:It is a worldwide network.
- IP:The IP is the internet protocol that means that it is the Internet communication protocol that computers use to communicate with each other.
- MAC:A MAC address is the unique identifier assigned by the manufacturer to a piece of network hardware such as a wireless card or an network card "MAC" means Media Access Control.
- ROUTER:It is a device that allows you to interconnect computers that work within the framework of a network.
- DNS:domain name system simplify this task by assigning names to IP adress.
- URL:An adress that identifies a website on the Internet.
- PROTOCOL:set of common rules shared by computers.
- SERVER:It is a team that is part of a network and provides services to other client teams
- BROWSER:Is a program used to display the content of websites.
- SEARCH ENGINE:Is a computer system that indexes files stored on websites.
